Talc/ Soapstone powder
Used ceramics, paint, paper, roofing materials, plastics, rubber, insecticides, and many other products.
Soapstone (aka Steatite) is a metamorphic rock that is composed primarily of talc, with varying amounts of chlorite, pyroxenes, micas, amphiboles, carbonates, and other minerals. Soapstone is typically gray, bluish, green, or brown in color, often variegated.

Why our product
For Plastics :
Our talc is used as a filler in plastic industry due to its various usefull properties. The talc extracted here has a higher resistance to heat which reduces shrinkages in plastics by increasing its heat resistance. Also it provides stiffness to polypropylene, polyester, vinyl etc. Due to the lusture or smoothness of talc extracted here the abrasion caused on manufacturing equipments is also reduced.
For Paints :
Due to platy structure of talc extracted here it is quite helpful for paints. When the paint is applied and the water evaporates the mineral substances remain on the wall. And due to its platyness it covers in a better manner without sagging as compared to other fillers. Also the brightness level of talc extracted here is quite high which is good for any kind of paint. Due to less abrasion it works well in nozzle cans also.
For paper:
It is well known that the paper industry is a huge consumer of talc powder. But due to lesser abrasion levels in talc extracted here it is a much healthier option for paper industries.
For Rubber:
As the talc here has higher resistance to heat and have good abrasion indexes it is preferred in rubber industries over talc from around the world.
For Ceramics:
A lower iron content (<0.5%) , heat resistance and other notable factors it is used in ceramics because after heating the possibility of black particles to be visible is lesser in talc extracted here.
For Food:
Talc extracted here is best suitable for protecting food due to its better coating properties/surface finishing. Also it is hydrophobic in nature and chemically inert which ensures longer quality consistency. Well known for Olive Oil Processing.
For Cosmetics:
Talc extracted here is bacteria free and poses no health hazards to skin. Its smooth, glossy and lusturous. It is fluffy when converted into powder form. Also impurities such as calcium and alumina are absent which makes it most suitable for cosmetics when applied on skin.
Talc in roofing materials:
For better resistance to weather talc is used in roofing materials. About 6-7% of all talc imported in USA from India was used in roofing materials as per the surveys.
